Aster sofa by kool-aid

I dropped by the upholsterer today. They have the foam fabbed up and are making rapid progress on the leather.

The foam is a nice orange/pink kool-aid color scheme, but more importantly, I finally got to have a seat in a fully functional sofa that’s nearly its final shape. And … it is awesome: superbly comfortable, nicely proportioned. Despite designing it mostly around my 5’8″ self, Robert Trickey also likes it and he’s easily 6’2″.

I’m even more excited now to see this in the leather. Tomorrow I’ll be picking up the frame for final sanding and an oil finish.
